dear, the idea of this program is excellent (just what I was looking for) : small, easy to use - just I think a few small improvements can make it much better :
- projects : possibility to delete project names should be possible (now manually by changing the txt file in the prog directory - not practical, coult be an item in settings
- in settings : not necessary to ask comment when starting a project
- and finally - very important - please review the report : now very poor - make a nice report : per project inserted times + sum, e.g. in a table form.
Anyway, good work - but the reporting issue is for me very important !
I hope to hear your comment.
kind regards

My Time Manager - improvements needed
This is actually a good lightweight tool - just enough to do the job and no more.
It does need two critical improvements:
#1 It is MUCH too easy to wipe out the log.
It should be MUCH more difficult!
The button to exit the 'Reports' dialog is [Clear Log and Exit]
Clicking it brings up a brings up a
'Confirm' Do you really want to clear the log file'
dialog. If you click on 'No' (which you have to think about
as it's to the right of the [Yes] button which visually is the
first button you see, then instead of going back to the main
'Project' window you are just returned to the 'Reports' dialog.
It is possible to leave the log in place if you click the
'X' close on the top right of the 'Reports' dialog, but for
sure i'm not going to consistently remember to do this.
What's needed to for the 'Reports' dialog to have two
separate buttons : [Exit] [Clear Log] and for the popup
confirm dialog to be connected to the [Clear Log] button.
#2 The log should be laid out in columns:
Date Start Stop Duration Session Notes
4/16/2008 1:49:04 PM 1:49:17 PM 00:00:13 Status report for Pete

Good - but with a misleading display
I am using Time Manager to track my work on several projects. Via the log I can readilly do this. However nice to have's would be. 1. the time display in the lower box to always be for the project displayed in the upper box. 2. A cumulative time since last reset on this project feature would be good. Then the log could be kept indefinately with periodic resets indicated as a project cumulative total was moved elsewhere. 3. Then the log should be limited by size / date. This would also cater to the user who was afraid of deleting before reading.
